Application guide

A great finish starts before the bottle opens. Take your time, prepare properly and follow the product instructions.

Important safety information: Use in a clean, dry and well-ventilated environment away from direct sunlight. Wear suitable chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection. Avoid breathing vapours. If adequate ventilation cannot be achieved, use suitable respiratory protection. The product label and current Safety Data Sheet take priority.

Before you begin

Pure Gloss Pro 9H is a professional-grade ceramic coating designed to chemically bond to the vehicle surface and provide long-lasting gloss, hydrophobic performance and protection.

Do not apply to surfaces for which the product is not intended.

What you will need

  • Suitable paint-preparation or panel-wipe solution
  • Chemical-resistant gloves and suitable eye protection
  • Bright inspection lighting

Installation

  1. Wash.Thoroughly wash the vehicle to remove dirt, road film and loose contamination. Rinse completely and dry the vehicle thoroughly. The surface must be completely clean and dry before coating.
  2. Decontaminate.Remove embedded contamination where necessary using suitable iron fallout remover, tar remover and a properly lubricated clay bar or clay mitt. Rinse and dry the vehicle again.
  3. Correct the paint.Complete any required paint correction before coating. Pure Gloss Pro 9H protects the condition underneath it; it does not remove swirl marks, scratches or oxidation.
  4. Prepare the panels.After polishing, use a suitable panel wipe to remove polishing oils, wax, sealants, grease, fingerprints and remaining residue. Use clean microfibre towels until the surface is streak-free, then avoid touching prepared paint.
  5. Prepare the coating.Shake the bottle well. Put on gloves and eye protection. Apply several drops to a clean coating applicator. Prime it sufficiently for even coverage without oversaturating it.
  6. Apply in small sections.Work on one small section at a time. Spread a thin, even layer using overlapping horizontal passes followed by vertical passes. Do not coat an entire panel or vehicle before buffing.
  7. Allow the coating to flash.Allow the coating to set for up to approximately two minutes before buffing. Temperature, humidity and airflow affect flash time, so watch for slight hazing, rainbowing or a visible change rather than relying only on the clock. Do not allow excess product to cure on the surface.
  8. Level and buff.Gently level the coating with a clean, dry microfibre towel. Follow immediately with a second clean towel to achieve a clear, streak-free finish.
  9. Inspect for high spots.Check from several angles under bright lighting. Look for rainbow patches, dark areas, smears, oily-looking marks and uneven reflections. Correct high spots immediately while the coating remains workable; cured high spots may require polishing. Read the high-spot prevention and correction guide before attempting further work.
  10. Continue around the vehicle.Repeat: Apply → Flash → Level → Buff → Inspect. Replace towels regularly. Stop using any towel that becomes saturated or begins dragging.

Curing instructions

Curing is essential to the final performance of Pure Gloss Pro 9H.

First 3 hours

Where possible, leave the vehicle stationary and protected from contamination. Allow approximately three hours before driving.

First 8 hours

Keep the vehicle dry. Protect it from rain, water, dew, sprinklers and washing for at least eight hours.

First 7 days

The coating continues to build and harden. Avoid unnecessary contact with the paint and do not apply waxes, sealants or other detailing products.

First 15 days

Do not wash the vehicle or apply a ceramic maintenance or top coating during the first 15 days. This conservative period allows the coating to reach its stated final cure.

After 15 days

  • Wash regularly using safe wash methods and suitable automotive shampoo.
  • Avoid aggressive automatic brush washes.
  • Remove bird droppings, insects and other contamination promptly and safely.
  • Use coating-compatible maintenance products.
  • Remove mineral and iron contamination periodically where required.

Safety information

Pure Gloss Pro 9H may cause an allergic skin reaction and serious eye irritation. Avoid breathing vapour or spray. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area and wear suitable protective gloves and eye protection.

The current Safety Data Sheet specifies chemical-resistant gloves such as nitrile rubber and suitable safety glasses or chemical splash goggles. If product gets on the skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. If it enters the eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes and seek medical attention if irritation persists.

Storage

Keep the bottle tightly closed in its original container when not in use. Protect it from extreme heat and freezing, and store it away from strong oxidising agents.
